German cacher SuRosis has indeed placed Smart451's Smart Car 10 Knockout Racer Travel Bug into a cache in Germany, this driveby (how appropriate!) in Bavaria, adding 780.94 miles to it's distance travelled, and putting it barely 50 miles behind lgxkls' Hazards of Geocaching 1 - Karon's Knockout Racer cow TB.

Which entry has more than doubled it's distance travelled?
...the answer is oceanblue07970's Half Hearted Travel Bug, which was picked up from the French cache that it was resting in by French cacher ptittomtom, who then placed it into this cache in the Catalan speaking area of the French Pyreneés close to the border with Spain. This move added 453.57 miles to HH's distance travelled, more than doubling it's milage and moving the shiny little TB up 2 places in The Great Travel Bug Knockout's rankings.
This is bad news for castlegrice's George's Fun Bus 2 TB, which only just squeaked through last month's Elimination Day and now has to travel more than 300 miles to exceed the distance travelled by wemnog's The Skylark Travel Bug, which is made even more difficult by the tiny dinghy tendency to continually make little moves, which of course all add up; The Skylark's latest move added 27.35 miles to it's total distance when cacher Oofy placed it into this Essex cache.
Another entry making a move this week, albeit a much smaller one, was current 2nd-placed entry, Hediya's Love and Peace (Maan) TB which was retrieved by cachers Volkswag, who dipped it into this cache adding 0.56 of a mile to it's distance travelled. They subsequently dipped Love and Peace (Maan) into 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 more caches (the last one is a Virtual!), none of which add any official distance to LaP(Maan)'s record due to The Great Travel Bug Knockout's only-the-first-dip-by-a-cacher-counts rule.
Finally, two more entries have been retrieved recently, although neither has yet been placed into a cache; Smart451's Smart Car 10 Knockout Racer may finally be waving goodbye to Sweden after being picked up by Bavarian cacher SuRosis who is planning to take the little white car back to Germany with them, and cooper troopers' the noble traveller TB, which has been snaffled-up by Dutch cacher Schaduw1, who posted the following snap of the tiny TARDIS:

Unhappy Hoppy
No doubt you're all dying from the suspense, but now it can be revealed: the entry in The Great Travel Bug Knockout eliminated on July 1st was fuzziebear3's Happy Hoppy Travel Bug, and somehow I just can't help but think that whoever found the little amphibian resting in it's box experienced something like this...
Ah, a redo of the classic One Froggy Evening, possibly the greatest Merry Melody of them all? Oh, and am I the only one who loved that scene in Mel Brooks' Spaceballs..?
Although we bid farewell to the little green fellow, life goes on for other entries in The Knockout, with cooper troopers' the noble traveller TB adding 257.78 miles to it's distance travelled by being placed into this interesting puzzle/multi cache near Arnhem in the east of The Netherlands.
Another entry to add some milage to it's total is Smart451's Smart Car 10 Knockout Racer TB, which logged another 38.79 miles after being placed into this Swedish cache.
Slovenian cachers Kassiopeia82 dipped lgxkls' Hazards of Geocaching 1 - Karon's Knockout Racer into this cache, then dropped it into this one.
Finally, wemnog's The Skylark Travel Bug continues it's voyage around the caches of Greater London, having been retrieved by cacher Oofy.
Although we're now down to the final ten surviving entries in The Great Travel Bug Knockout things are looking healthy with entries currently available for retrieval from caches in 7 different countries on 3 continents; the U.K., France, the Netherlands, Sweden and Slovenia in Europe, plus Canada in North America and New Zealand in Australasia. Go get 'em cachers!

Will fuzziebear3's TB have to hop it?
5...4...3...2...1...
Castlegrice can kick back and chill out; Their entrant in The Great Travel Bug Knockout has moved off of the elimination bubble thanks to Scottish cacher Claraloon, who yesterday retrieved George's Fun Bus 2 from the cache that it was resting in, and this morning placed it into this one, adding a vital 80.49 miles to it's distance travelled. This has moved GFB2 ahead of fuzziebear3's Happy Hoppy TB, which I suspect went missing from the cache that it is logged into many months ago...
Meanwhile, Wemnog's The Skylark TB continues to steadily rack up the distance, having added another 10.1 miles after being dropped into this cache, one of the controversial Timberland-sponsored TRAIL OF HEROES series.
In other Knockout news, Oceanblue07970's Half Hearted Travel Bug has finally been left in a cache, rather than just dipped, by French cacher christian35. This interesting looking one, to be precise.
As one cacher finally lets go of an entry in The Knockout, it seems another takes up the dipper's baton, as Slovenian cachers Kassiopeia82 have taken lgxkls' Hazards of Geocaching 1 - Karon's Knockout Racer to this cache, and have retained possession of the cud-chewing little trackable.

Is George's Bus still having fun?
5...4...3...2...1...
It's five days until the next elimination from The Great Travel Bug Knockout, and castlegrice's George's Fun Bus 2 has to pack away the surfboards (in Scotland?!) and hit the road if it hopes to pass the probably missing Happy Hoppy TB owned by fuzziebear3.
No such worries for current 2nd-place entry Hediya's Love and Peace (Maan) Travel Bug, which, after it's Alaskan adventure, has been dropped into this cache in British Columbia, Canada ready to be retrieved and add to it's distance travelled.
Meanwhile, cooper troopers' the noble traveller has added 436.19 miles to it's distance travelled after being retrieved from the airport cache that was resting in by German cachers forestcats. They brought tnt back to the UK and dipped it into this London cache, before placing the silver TB into this popular one, from where it was quickly retrieved by Dutch cachers Arjan&denise, who have taken the travelling TARDIS back to their native (Nether)land.
Still in the UK, and indeed Greater London, wemnog's The Skylark Travel Bug was placed into this cache by cachers theleverets, adding 6.8 miles it's distance sailed. It was retreived 3 days later by local caching team The 5 Raybould Ramblers.
Finally for today, Slovenian cachers Kassiopeia82 picked up lgxkls' Hazards of Geocaching 1 TB from the cache that it residing in and dipped it into this cache, then this one, this one and this one. As per usual Knockout rules, only the first dip counts, so 3.06 miles have been added to HoG1's total distance.

Cancel that visit to the Slovenian china shop...
...there's a bull on the loose, as cacher perhan has dropped lgxkls' Hazards of Geocaching 1 - Karon's Knockout Racer in this cache in the medieval town of Višnja Gora, adding 203.59 miles to it's distance travelled.
In other Knockout news, French cacher christian35 has reminded us that he is still holding oceanblue07970's HalfHearted TB by dipping it into this cache, 6.71 miles away from the last cache that he dipped the shiny broken-hearted Bug into.

Knockout Ferrari and Smart Car 10 both back on the road again
Jacaru can relax, as the owners of the cache that it went missing from, VWjunkies, have revealed that they retrieved Knockout Ferrari from the cache on June 1st.
Also on the move is Smart451's Smart Car 10 Knockout Racer TB, which was retrieved from the cache that it was resting in by local cacher mr45acp, who then placed it into this cache 1.54 miles away, and from where it has since been snaffled up by fellow Swede Stefan H.

Double Knockout blow for Jacaru's Ferrari?
Jacaru's Knockout Ferrari Travel Bug has suffered a possible double K.O. this week, as firstly it lost it's long-held second place in The Great Travel Bug Knockout to Hediya's Love and Peace (Maan) TB, and then was reported missing by the most recent finder of the cache that it was logged into...!
Speaking of The Knockout's new second-postition holder; Canadian cacher DisneyGirl took LaP(Maan) to this cache in the Alaskan city of Skagway (population 862 - not overly populated for a city!) but the cache was too full to leave it, so just dipped the love-spreading traveller, adding 880.07 miles to it's distance travelled, sufficient to nose ahead of Knockout Ferrari into second place overall. DisneyGirl subsequently dipped LaP(Maan) into this cache too (no milage added due to The Knockout's now infamous first-dip-by-each-cacher-only-to-count rule!) and has retained possession of the Bug.
Other entries on the move include cooper troopers' the noble traveller TB, which has materialised in this cache at the peculiar EuroAirport, which has official joint French and Swiss nationality, and has free access from Germany too. This drop has added 11.73 miles to tnt's race distance, and marks the little TARDIS' second visit to France.
Cooper troopers' friendly local rivals, Smart451 have seen their own Smart Car 10 Knockout Racer Travel Bug log some distance too, firstly cacher pensionist dropped it into this cache in Uppsala, Sweden, adding 119.71 miles to it's official Knockout distance travelled. It was quickly retrieved by visiting Czech cacher satanmar who the very same day placed the little car into this cache 0.44 of a mile away.
Finally, wemnog's The Skylark TB (which has covered 648.81 miles, despite not yet leaving England) has been picked up by cachers theleverets, whom I believe are based in Surrey.

Knockout leader extends it's lead!
Bad news time for all entries except the current Knockout leader, Blid435's BraveHeart Travel Bug, which has recorded it's first milage since early April after New Zealand cacher Mel74 dropped the shiny little heart into this cache, adding 5.12 miles to it's distance travelled.
Another entry may be adding some miles soon, as novice cacher kharaa retrieved cooper troopers' the noble traveller Bug from the German cache that it had been resting in for the last couple of months.

A tale of two cities
With apologies to the great Mr. Dickens, this is indeed a tale of two cities, London and not Paris, but Stockholm.
Camogirl-2007 has placed wemnog's The Skylark Travel Bug into this (Greater) London cache, adding 95.42 miles to it's distance covered, whilst Swedish cacher Stigge took Smart451's Smart Car 10 Knockout Racer TB from Stockholm and placed it into his own cache in the wilds of Värmland. This appeared at first to be an unfortunate move, despite the 132.33 miles added to SC10KR's milage, due to the cache not being a regularly visited one, but what do you know, later that very same day the little Smart Car was retrieved by cacher pensionist!
Oh, and French cacher christian35 has dipped oceanblue07970's HalfHearted TB into this cache, adding nothing at all to it's official Knockout distance, this being the 27th cache that c35 has dipped it into.

Just where does the time go...?
Sorry for the late update folks, but here's what you have been waiting for, the seventh elimination from The Great Travel Bug Knockout, as we say say goodbye and good riddance to G-X's Voodoo Whodo What You Don't Dare Do People (Racer Bug) Travel Bug, and who better to lament it's passing than shirtless, sweaty, paunchy middle-aged forgotten popstar Brian Setzer?
Bye-bye Voodoo Whodo, and remember, look out for those pins!
This elimination means that George's Fun Bus 2 is next in line for the scrapyard, but GFB2 is fighting back as cacher cumbycritter placed it into this cache in Burns country, close to The Tam O'Shanter Experience, adding 44.91 miles to it's distance travelled.
Another entry on the move is Smart451's Smart Car 10 Knockout Racer Travel Bug, which added 1.46 miles to it's distance travelled when Swedish cacher oskargeo dropped in into this cache, from where it was promptly recovered by fellow Swede Stigge.
Finally for today, wemnog's The Skylark TB increased it's race distance by 35.82 miles when cacher elliott150 placed it into this Gloucestershire cache. It was retrieved two days later by Coventry-based cacher camogirl-2007.

Almost time for the 7th Day Of Elimination!
5...4...3...2...1...
With only two days until the 7th entry is eliminated from The Great Travel Bug Knockout, the situation is looking bleak for G-X's Voodoo Whodo What You Don't Dare Do People (Racer Bug) TB, which has been missing since last month.
Not too many moves to report in the last couple of weeks; current 3rd place holder, Hediya's Love and Peace (Maan) Travel Bug was placed into this cache, adding 14.16 miles to it's distance travelled, and from where it was retrieved by Canadian cacher DisneyGirl. DG has indicated that she may move it to an Alaskan cache soon, hopefully breaking LaP(Maan) out of the circular holding pattern that it seems to be stuck in in British Columbia.
Smart451's Smart Car 10 Knockout Racer Travel Bug was placed into this popular Swedish cache, adding 8.61 miles, and was soon picked up by local cacher oskargeo.
After an extended stay of over three months in a Scottish cache, castlegrice's George's Fun Bus 2 TB has been collected by cacher cumbycritter.
Finally, wemnog's The Skylark Bug, which was in the hands of cacher hedgehogmad has been retrieved from this cache by cacher elliott150, with no evidence of how it got there (not the first time that this has happened to The Skylark!). Assuming that the little sailing boat was placed into this cache immediately from it's previous home (although it should be noted that LSL#09 is a premium member only cache and hedgehogmad is not a premium member of Geocaching.com), I have added 3.11 miles to TS's official Knockout distance covered.

A trio of retrievals
I've had some difficulty updating the blog recently, but everything seems okay now, so here goes;
Firstly, wemnog's The Skylark TB was picked up by cacher hedgehogmad.
Hediya's Love and Peace (Maan) Travel Bug was placed into this cache by cacher gottagonow, from where it was retrieved by fellow Canadian jrhere. As gottagonow had already dipped LaP(Maan) into a cache, no milage was added to Hediya's Bug's race distance in The Great Travel Bug Knockout.
Third of the trio to be collected was Smart451's Smart Car 10 Knockout Racer, which is now in the possession of Swedish cacher froderik.
I'm trying to ascertain if fuzziebear3's Happy Hoppy TB is still residing in the cache that it is logged into, as several cachers have visited the cache recently, but none have mentioned whether the little amphibian is present or missing.
Finally, isn't it typical, but my own The Exterminator! TB was eliminated from The Knockout six months ago, and has just been logged into a cache in Mallorca, more than 1000 miles away...

No doldrums for The Skylark
While 11 of the surviving 12 entries in The Great Travel Bug Knockout are treading water, wemnog's The Skylark Travel Bug has made the most of today's winds to sail 66.88 miles north to this cache in Lower Wanborough, east of Swindon.

Wave bye-bye to Billy Bear Racer
It's Elimination Day at The Great Travel Bug Knockout and time to wave bye-bye to our energetic friend, Ve8's Billy Bear Racer who hasn't been seen for several months. Ve8 himself chose this clip to remember his ill-fated Travel Bug by;
I hope that everyone joined in a commemorative Billy walk.
In other Knockout news, while French cacher christian35 has been dipping oceanblue07970's Half Hearted TB into the following dozen caches in central France, adding no official Knockout distance travelled whatsoever, wemnog's The Skylark Travel Bug has leapfrogged both Half Hearted and fuzziebear3's Happy Hoppy TB into 8th place in The Great Travel Bug Knockout. The Skylark was retrieved on April 14th from the Nottinghamshire cache that it was resting in by Dorset cachers Mattaharry, who, despite my email enquiries, have not yet logged the little dinghy into their possession. They then subsequently placed it into this cache, adding 171.23 miles to The Skylark's distance travelled. This, of course, assumes that it was not dipped into any other caches along the way; the official milage can be adjusted later if other information is received. The Skylark was then retrieved on April 28th by experienced Oxfordshire-based cacher Queen of Maps.
